About the role
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems
- Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, scalable pipelines using modern orchestration tools
- Manage batch and real-time streaming pipelines to transform raw data into a usable format by applying data cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment techniques
- Optimize data pipelines and data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
- Ensure that internal processes are secured, compliant, and meet organizational standards
- Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
- Create custom software components and analytics applications
- Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative field; master’s degree preferred
- At least five years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, software engineering, or a similar role
- Expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and data analysis
- Experience with DBT, Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, and Apache Airflow
- Ability to design, build, and deploy data solutions that capture, explore, transform, and utilize data to support AI, ML, and BI
- Experience in programming languages such as SQL and Python
- Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks)
- Expert problem-solving skills, including debugging skills
