About the role
- Play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical and automation systems.
- Oversee all aspects related to electricity, automation, process control, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Provide optimal electrical and process control equipment in the plant to meet established business objectives.
- Optimize maintenance and operation costs of electrical and process control systems to maintain high levels of efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on power distribution and automation equipment, ensuring power quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and drive Electrical Safety and Electrical compliance per OSHA Standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and facilities to provide necessary support for capital investment projects and global initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for electrical system specifications and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop projects in electricity and automation engineering efforts to ensure designs are cost-effective and meet process requirements.
- Define and implement technical training for MES systems and support ongoing activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 5 years in a similar role is required.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including low, medium, and high voltage installations.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes and standards, as well as instrumentation and process control systems.
- Good knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HMIs, and PLCs.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity with food processing operations and technology, as well as knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements.
