About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Grow Nelnet Government Services in SLED market
- Create a qualified pipeline and close services-led engagements
- Sell consultatively to senior stakeholders across various sectors
- Build relationships and develop target-buyer maps
- Create, qualify, and advance opportunities for engagements
- Lead end-to-end sales cycle from meeting through contracting
- Collaborate with internal teams for solution delivery and execution
- Represent Nelnet at SLED conferences and industry events
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience
- 5+ years selling to SLED (state/local/education) organizations
- Knowledge of modern software delivery practices and AI technologies
- Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and translate AI capabilities
- Experience with partner-led public sector motions, specifically Google Public Sector
- Proven success selling complex technology services with long sales cycles
- Ability to lead end-to-end pursuits
- Strong knowledge of SLED procurement approaches
- Executive presence and credibility with senior leadership
- Forecasting rigor and CRM discipline
- Ability to pass required background checks
