About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop strategic product vision and product roadmaps with internal and external stakeholders
- Prioritize product needs based on business value
- Work with stakeholders and development teams to deliver product initiatives
- Coordinate timelines, budget, and resources within program guidelines
- Develop product strategies supporting company strategic goals
- Facilitate collaboration to identify and plan key initiatives aligned with product strategy
- Collaborate with teams to develop budget and investment needs
- Analyze customer opportunities, compliance, regulations, market trends, and customer behaviors
- Own prioritization and prepare and communicate product roadmaps
- Align product owners, stakeholders, and teams on projects’ goals and desired outcomes
- Participate as a stakeholder in release planning meetings
- Maintain a product-level backlog including milestones, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure teams understand business needs outlined in user stories
- Provide final signoff that solutions produce desired outcomes
- Monitor delivery progress and return on investment
- Understand product costs and contribution to overall cost
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or related fields and/or commensurate experience
- Master’s degree beneficial
- 4+ years’ agile experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager required
- Proven experience working with Senior Executives required
- 2+ years’ student loan experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conceptualize and analyze complex business processes
- Strong motivation, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to define and achieve business goals and meet deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively
- Proven leadership and employee development capabilities
- Strong customer service focus
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid financial and budgetary skills
