About the role
- Develop, verify, validate, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for clinical decision support, contributing to new product features or research breakthroughs that improve member outcomes (Member-first, always).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineers, medical doctors, and clinical researchers to deliver algorithms and ML models integrated into Neko Health’s clinics and products (Tech-enabled, human-centred).
- Deliver production-quality code and integrate algorithms into Neko’s backend infrastructure, raising the bar for technical excellence across the Algorithm team (Chase 10X, not 10%).
- Analyse clinical study data and support regulatory readiness of algorithms, ensuring our science meets the highest standards of clinical rigour (Hard truths, high hopes).
- Mentor and collaborate within a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or 2+ years post-PhD.
- Deep knowledge of ML/DL, time-series analysis, signal processing or working with sensor data
- Strong software engineering skills and proven experience shipping algorithms to production.
- Experience working with sensor data in cross-functional R&D environments.
- Motivated to apply cutting-edge science to improve preventative healthcare.
- Preferred: Experience working with clinical or regulated environments and an understanding of regulatory requirements for medical algorithms.
- Prior experience in AI-enabled healthcare, medtech, or biotech.
- Demonstrated success mentoring engineers or researchers in high-growth, mission-driven organisations.
