About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct market research on legislative, regulatory, competitive, and economic trends and evolving market drivers
- Become the subject matter expert for the product area and guide customers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with customers through co-design workshops, user groups, and meetings
- Capture insights and shape product requirements
- Define customer business needs and objectives
- Create requirements, user stories, and wireframes for new developments
- Work with development and QA teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Partner with Technical Authors to produce and review product documentation
- Build business cases including market uptake, pricing, and margin analysis
- Identify and manage third-party requirements with suppliers and integrators
- Define and maintain the product roadmap
- Support Pre-Sales and Sales teams with bid responses, proposals, and quotations
- Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences
- Contribute to product launch activities
- Shape NEC Housing products and guide customers toward best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in UK Social Housing, either as a customer or software solution provider
- Strong knowledge of project life cycle, methodologies, and delivering projects on time and within budget
- Experience defining product enhancements, UI/UX design, and Agile new product development
- Experience with housing management systems or related software
- Experience working with Document Management, Case Management and/or Customer Engagement solutions
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Full, valid UK/EC driving licence for travel
- Proven ability to build relationships and understand client perspectives
- Effective time management and resource allocation
- Strong decision-making skills
- Experience in end-to-end product life cycle management
- Experience designing digital solutions for the social housing sector, including mobile apps and web platforms
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma and JIRA
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
- Documentary evidence of right to work may be required
- Satisfactory vetting and reference checks required
- DBS check may be required depending on the nature of the role
