About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define OFCI equipment scope in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
Review and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
Ensure compliance with data center design criteria (Tier levels, redundancy, fault tolerance, uptime targets).
Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and vendor compliance matrices.
Issue RFQs/RFPs for critical data center infrastructure equipment.
Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations with engineering stakeholders.
Conduct vendor technical interviews and design alignment workshops.
Negotiate contracts covering performance guarantees, availability, FAT requirements, delivery milestones, and warranties.
Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead, mission-critical equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control & monitoring systems.
Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules.
Develop logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment.
Track long-lead items and procurement activities on the project critical path.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and warranties.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, (i.e. Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and technical training.
5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
Proven experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment.
Strong understanding of critical power and cooling systems.
Experience with FATs, commissioning, and contractor coordination.
