About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end design work from discovery through to delivery across new and existing product areas
Conduct and synthesise user research including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and workflow analysis
Translate complex product and technical requirements into intuitive workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs
Partner closely with product managers and engineers to shape solutions that balance user value, technical feasibility, and business goals
Identify usability issues and proactively drive improvements across the product experience
Contribute to and evolve the Nitro Design System, improving consistency and design efficiency across teams
Help visualise future product concepts and strategic product direction through exploratory design work
Present work clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, incorporating feedback while advocating for strong user-centred decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in UX or product design roles, ideally in SaaS or complex software environments.
Strong experience across the full design lifecycle: discovery, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and validation.
Ability to design elegant solutions for technically complex workflows and data-rich products.
Experience conducting user research and discovery activities including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and product analysis.
Strong ability to break down ambiguous problems, identify unknowns, and define structured paths forward.
Experience working closely in cross-functional teams with product managers and engineers.
Comfortable navigating fast-paced startup, scale-up, or consulting-style environments.
Able to move fluidly between tactical design execution and strategic product thinking.
Experience designing enterprise SaaS, infrastructure platforms, or technically sophisticated B2B products (nice-to-have).
Experience contributing to or scaling design systems (nice-to-have).
Familiarity with geospatial, engineering, or data-visualisation products (nice-to-have).
