About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent the company professionally at legal proceedings in the DMV area, with opportunities for domestic and international travel
- Set up, operate, and monitor audio/video equipment for recording client activities and proceedings
- Position microphones and establish appropriate video framing for legal videography
- Mix multiple audio tracks and monitor for interference using a portable audio interface
- Develop and maintain knowledge of audio/video technology, the legal field, and company processes
- Track and log key legal events, spellings, exhibits, and objections during proceedings
- Swear in deponents and accurately capture sworn testimony
- Interact with federal government, state government, and private-industry clients
- Proofread final work products for quality control
- Write executive summaries and meeting minutes
- Provide employee technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot IT problems and manage help desk tickets
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, servers, and network devices
- Perform system updates and maintain software licenses
- Assist with data backup and recovery
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in IT support
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable punctuality and deadline orientation
- Ability to work independently
- Organizational and time-management aptitude
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent English language skills
- Proficiency with technology
- Ability to pass security screening for access to client sites, including government buildings
- Familiarity with and passion for the legal industry is nice to have
- Comfort with audio/video technologies; theatre or live-music A/V experience is a plus
- Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are nice to have
- Fluency in foreign languages is nice to have
