About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Obtain detailed medical histories and consult with surgeons regarding patient structures at risk and monitoring modalities
  • Communicate monitoring information to surgeons and surgical teams throughout procedures
  • Display and label waveforms and calculate latencies, amplitudes, and conduction times according to established protocols
  • Identify appropriate protocols and troubleshoot techniques to ensure accurate data collection
  • Complete required documentation, IOM logs, files, and timely file uploads
  • Maintain neuromonitoring equipment and perform required maintenance checks
  • Provide temporary staffing coverage throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with assignments changing weekly
  • Adhere to company, AdvaMed, MedTech, compliance, and ethical conduct requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Entry-level candidates may apply
  • Operating Room (OR) experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to transport and set up equipment totaling 50 lbs in the operating room
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing demands, frequent change, delays, and unexpected scheduling or operating-room events
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including communication in English with surgeons and surgical staff
  • Ability to handle regular travel and overnight travel for multiple days each week
  • Must be qualified for and maintain privileges at required hospitals
  • Must meet applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination where applicable
  • Must be eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates
  • Ability to bend, stand for extended periods, use visual and auditory skills, demonstrate manual dexterity, and wear protective equipment for extended periods
  • Requires private transportation
