About the role
- Verify all patient information uploaded is accurate.
- Communicate information to the surgeon’s office to ensure requested information is completed accurately and returned to us in a timely manner.
- Review medical documents and patient information to ensure insurance criteria is met prior to billing
- Review and complete assigned daily reporting
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or equivalent minimum 1-year experience required
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with payer rules and regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of payer reimbursement guidelines and government, regulatory and company billing and compliance regulations/policies
- Knowledge of telephone, computers, and medical billing systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
