About the role
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local Zimbabwean regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly closing package.
- Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage external and internal audits; ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification required: ACCA, CIMA, CA(Z) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Zimbabwean financial regulatory requirements.
- Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle-Cloud) and advanced Excel capability.
- Strong understanding of taxation, treasury, and cash management.
- Experience working in Zimbabwe with strong knowledge of local accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
