About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive development of AI projects delivering solutions for Ncontracts customers
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architect to build AI projects across multiple teams
- Accelerate product development velocity and ship agentic AI solutions
- Build features and components using established architectural patterns and coding standards
- Integrate LLMs and other AI components into product features
- Turn technical specifications and designs into working, tested code
- Identify implementation blockers and design gaps for technical leads or architects
- Implement prompt structure, context management, and retrieval-augmented approaches
- Develop prompt engineering guidance and tooling for subject-matter experts
- Use Langfuse or similar observability tooling to trace, evaluate, and debug AI workflows
- Define evaluation approaches for accuracy, latency, cost, and safety and build supporting infrastructure
- Partner with Architecture on responsible and secure AI standards
- Participate in code reviews and pair with developers on complex implementation challenges
- Build reference implementations and prototype approaches to validate technical decisions
- Embed with engineering teams on focused assignments and contribute to technical discussions
- Study architecture and communicate implementation approaches and technical decisions clearly
- Raise ambiguities in architectural guidance and develop broader expertise across AI, integration, data, and cloud infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 18+ months of hands-on experience building with large language models (LLMs) in production or near-production settings
- Strong hands-on coding skills and regular production coding experience
- Experience with at least one core language/framework: .NET/C#, React, or Python
- Practical experience with prompt engineering, including designing, testing, and iterating on prompts
- Experience with LLM observability or evaluation tooling such as Langfuse or comparable platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS
- Understanding of microservices, API design, and event-driven patterns
- Experience with code review practices
- Ability to work across different teams and adapt to varying codebases and contexts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Preferred: experience with .NET/C#, React, Python, Snowflake, dbt
- Preferred: experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic
- Preferred: familiarity with RAG, vector databases, or agentic workflow patterns
- Preferred: familiarity with TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Preferred: exposure to REST APIs, message queues, or CDC
- Preferred: database design and data modeling experience
- Preferred: DevOps and CI/CD experience
- Preferred: multi-tenant SaaS experience
- Preferred: B2B SaaS or enterprise software development experience
