Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with partner ML and Annotation engineers and TPMs to specify data and training requirements
  • Ensure datasets are correctly curated, filtered, and processed for production-level machine learning
  • Translate high-level project goals into actionable data specifications for engineering and annotation teams
  • Maintain high standards for data integrity
  • Ensure media datasets used for training are representative and accurate
  • Manipulate large 2D and 3D media datasets
  • Bridge raw data and high-quality machine learning inputs through technical expertise and cross-functional leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree or certification in Data Science or related computational sciences field
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast paced, high growth tech environment
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in industries with complex multi-disciplinary teams such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace
  • Fluency with Python, Git, and the Unix shell
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, Slack, a Git server, and an experiment tracking framework
  • Familiarity with data visualization and inspection tools for computer vision and 3D data, such as FiftyOne
  • Deep understanding of data science fundamentals and a strong mathematical background
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different engineering disciplines to define and execute technical requirements
