About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with partner ML and Annotation engineers and TPMs to specify data and training requirements
Ensure datasets are correctly curated, filtered, and processed for production-level machine learning
Translate high-level project goals into actionable data specifications for engineering and annotation teams
Maintain high standards for data integrity
Ensure media datasets used for training are representative and accurate
Manipulate large 2D and 3D media datasets
Bridge raw data and high-quality machine learning inputs through technical expertise and cross-functional leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's Degree or certification in Data Science or related computational sciences field
3+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast paced, high growth tech environment
Proven experience as a Data Scientist in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience in industries with complex multi-disciplinary teams such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace
Fluency with Python, Git, and the Unix shell
Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, Slack, a Git server, and an experiment tracking framework
Familiarity with data visualization and inspection tools for computer vision and 3D data, such as FiftyOne
Deep understanding of data science fundamentals and a strong mathematical background
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to collaborate effectively across different engineering disciplines to define and execute technical requirements
