About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Construct and optimize high-concurrency, highly available, low-latency ad-delivery infrastructure
Continuously optimize and reconstruct existing systems to support rapid business development
Own end-to-end software development, application updates, and software release rollouts
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and integration needs
Research, write, and edit software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, and reports
Provide technical leadership on architectural, design, and engineering decisions
Mentor junior Software Development Engineers
Design, architect, and implement solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies
Develop and manage scalable, reliable AWS infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and orchestration tools
Implement security best practices and maintain AWS and containerized-environment integrity and compliance
Optimize application performance, scalability, and availability in AWS
Document and maintain software functionality
Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues with operations and development teams
Identify and implement infrastructure and deployment automation and optimization opportunities
Partner with global engineering, product, and operations teams to incorporate innovations
Support the overall business and solve technical issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or above; degree is preferred, with coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience also considered
3–5 years of relevant work experience stated in the posting
7–10 years of relevant work experience stated in the later compensation section
In-depth understanding of cloud and containerization technologies
Familiarity with distributed architecture and middleware such as cache, message queues, and Nginx
Experience with large-scale online service design, development, and operations/maintenance preferred
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix
Excellent data structures and algorithms foundation
Proficiency in C++, C, or Golang and network programming
Experience with large-system software design and development
Experience with distributed and mission-critical systems preferred
Demonstrated problem-solving and technical innovation expertise
Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and software engineering methodologies
Ability to work with global teams and accept additional working time outside normal hours for meetings or collaboration
Advertising industry experience is a plus
Strong technical-support ability and persistence
