  • Build scalable, highly available cloud-hosted applications with robust security features
  • Develop tools for rapid incident mitigation and reusable web components
  • Architect self-contained microservices or APIs using content management systems and global design patterns
  • Define product and technical requirements with cross-functional teams and align them with business goals
  • Drive best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience developing embedded software and firmware for hardware-based products, devices, or systems
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ with experience developing and debugging production firmware
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining embedded Linux systems
  • Experience using the Yocto Project to create, customize, and maintain embedded Linux distributions
  • Experience with hardware/software integration, device drivers, peripheral interfaces, and low-level system troubleshooting
  • Experience developing firmware for connected devices, IoT products, networking equipment, consumer electronics, test and measurement devices, or similar hardware platforms
  • Experience with source control, automated build processes, CI/CD practices
  • Ability to analyze system performance, diagnose complex technical issues, and implement sustainable solutions
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, software, quality assurance, product, and cloud engineering teams
  • Ability to mentor engineers, promote development best practices, and contribute to technical leadership initiatives
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across cross-functional teams
