About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supports day to day operational tasks across Comcast Business's Metro Ethernet and MPLS networks
Work with off-net providers to troubleshoot connectivity issues with circuits or vendor supplied CPE
Confirming service functionality at customer demarcation
Conduct pre-checks for optics, demarc specs and CPE settings
Designing complex internal circuits and overseeing CDV demark to switch processes
Conducting comprehensive testing and commissioning of new circuits
Liaising with commercial clients to discuss product offerings and service implementation
Managing implementation and augmentation of trunk groups
Implementing new features, technologies, upgrades, and patches
Escalating technical issues promptly
Recording and updating accurate information in databases
Mentoring junior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree preferred
2-5 Years relevant work experience
Strong network engineering and analytical skills
Experience with Metro Ethernet and/or MPLS networks
Proficiency with multiple network and system tools
Familiarity with service activation workflows, networking principles, and testing methods
Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
