About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead large test teams in documenting and executing integration, regression, and functional testing of complex and moderately integrated systems
  • Ensure testing compliance with system requirements or use cases while following Navy Federal test practices, policies, and approved testing tools
  • Create complex test plans using Navy Federal standards and templates
  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and create or edit test cases for new or modified systems
  • Coordinate and perform complex system testing during System Integration Testing
  • Execute, update, and troubleshoot complex manual and automated test cases and automation scripts
  • Update automation parameterization files using Navy Federal's UFT framework and troubleshoot web element issues with XPath tools
  • Write end-to-end moderately complex automated test cases independently
  • Document test results, knowledge articles, sign-offs, defects, bugs, risks, blockers, and root-cause analyses
  • Recommend defect prioritization and provide detailed insights to developers for solutioning
  • Participate in SAFe Agile software development lifecycle activities, project meetings, sizing, and estimation
  • Analyze process, data, technology, policy, procedure, and product changes for downstream testing impacts
  • Identify improvement opportunities and recommend testing-practice and process optimizations
  • Collaborate with peers, developers, business partners, and stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor peers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading small Test Teams in a fast-paced environment focused on quality engineering, structured processes, and auditability
  • Extensive experience working on Agile teams utilizing the Scrum framework
  • Experience in all phases and ceremonies employed in Agile-based software development and testing efforts
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile project settings and align test case development with documented requirements in traditional documents and Azure ADO PBIs
  • Experience using Azure Test Plans for test planning, test case creation, test execution, test results, and defect management
  • Experience using AI tools in software testing to create Gherkin-based test cases from requirements documents and Azure PBIs
  • Experience with formal test types including Integration, Systems Integration (SIT), Regression, Negative, and Boundary Testing
  • Experience with SQL for evaluating test-related data
  • Experience with XPath, HTML, and CSS to evaluate web application elements during failure analysis
  • Experience with API testing using Postman
  • Experience developing and maintaining reusable components such as test cases, Copilot prompt libraries, and M365 Copilot Agents
  • Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating with Developers, Application Engineers, AI Engineers, AI Architects, Data Engineers, and Project Managers
  • Skill in mentoring and training less experienced staff
  • 5–10 years of experience
  • ISTQB/ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Azure Repos, Git, Bitbucket, or other software repositories
  • Experience with continuous testing supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines or Jenkins
  • Experience developing and maintaining feature-file, keyword, data-driven, and behavior-driven test automation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
