About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan research and develop specialized risk assessment scopes
- Collaborate with management and personnel to optimize risk assessment scope development
- Identify business risks, operational and regulatory process deficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Gather and synthesize data; present conclusions and risk mitigation, remediation, and process improvement solutions to management
- Lead and conduct specialized risk assessment and testing lifecycles for business activities, processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide expertise to support operational effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, federal and state laws, and company standards
- Develop, lead, and oversee efforts to improve operational efficiency and risk mitigation processes
- Prepare and present risk assessment reports, trend analyses, and remedial or mitigation solutions to management and affected business units
- Evaluate, analyze, and challenge operational, data, and technology risks
- Strengthen controls and provide risk-based guidance on data governance, technology controls, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Complete knowledge and understanding of the business area or specialization
- Advanced knowledge of risk-based auditing techniques and methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous, multifaceted projects with cross-departmental impact
- Advanced knowledge of operational and regulatory risk control concepts and practices
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute risk mitigation and process improvement initiatives
- Advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Advanced research and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Typically requires a professional qualification in risk management or equivalent experience
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
- Master’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience (desired)
