About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

To plan, supervise and direct the engineering functions within the Cybersecurity Technology Engineering (CTE) team
Collaborate with managers within the CTE to define the strategic vision for the team
Provide leadership, guidance, and technical guidance to ensure appropriate security protocols are leveraged to protect NFCU's brand, data, and IT assets from cyber-based threats

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a network engineering position (10 years preferred)
Served as a lead engineer or a manager on a network security team
Experience with a common network security tool, such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, and/or ISE
Experience with change control procedures
Expert knowledge of cyber/information security systems engineering lifecycle
Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
Ability to work with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
Advanced analytical thinking skills include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships
Advanced research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
