About the role
- Strategy and planning to align business product teams with analytics teams to support the credit union's mission and goals
- Use analytical, project management, and communication skills to drive analyses and gather, organize and review data to identify internal and external strategic issues and opportunities affecting growth and profitability
- Work under minimal supervision and use complete understanding of business needs and objectives to support projects impacting operational goals for credit risk
- Partner with key stakeholders to present findings and recommendations to technical, non-technical, key partners and executives
- Lead multiple analytics programs and initiatives through full project lifecycle using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies—from planning and design through testing, implementation, and delivery
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes by collaborating with business and analytics teams and advising development teams and data stewards
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements for data and analytics teams and communicate complex quantitative analyses in simple, structured narratives
- Evaluate business data and conduct analyses and reporting to identify challenges and opportunities; perform data, cost and benefit, and process measurement analysis
- Partner across business, data, and analytics teams to facilitate development of advanced statistical models and forecasting techniques
- Provide and support implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders and adapting to competing demands
- Assess requirements for internal business processes ensuring integration across teams and alignment with organizational strategic goals
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in consulting, business and operational strategy, planning and analysis, including demonstrated experience leading and executing projects or programs through full lifecycle phases
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, including storytelling, influencing, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization
- Advanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research
- Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills; advanced problem resolution skills including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
- Advanced project management skill to lead projects and/or initiatives of medium to large scope to include working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physical Sciences
- Desired - Master's Degree in Business Administration, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physical Sciences
- Desired - SAFe®, Scrum, or PMP® certification
