About the role
- To oversee strategic application engineering functions and initiatives, focusing on network systems.
- Provides leadership and direction through managers
- Accountable for the performance and results of related teams and/or functions.
- Supports executive leadership in defining organizational goals and strategic plans and translates strategic vision into policies and operational plans for a broad functional area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, with 6+ years in management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
- Expert-level knowledge in network engineering function and ability to effectively communicate across multiple functional areas.
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards as well as the changing business environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence others internally and externally; including senior executives, vendors and regulators.
