About the role

  • Craft compelling marketing copy for channels including email, digital signage, digital banner ads, print ads, social media and landing pages.
  • Support campaign execution and participate in Agile Marketing Value Streams.
  • Work with a team of writers and designers to collaborate on effective, creative ways to reach members through copy.
  • Support departmentwide marketing campaigns (ex: Veterans Day, Holiday Product Support) with creative copy solutions.
  • Translate complex product details and campaign strategies into accessible, clear, and audience-tailored communications.
  • Revise and refine copy based on stakeholder feedback, campaign results, and data-driven insights.
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of Navy Federal products, brand personality, tone and voice, Marketing goals and business objectives.
  • Keep current with industry standards, regulatory and copyright considerations, and communications best practices.
  • Analyze quality of work through review of marketing summaries/metrics to determine effectiveness.
  • Learn and implement industry best practices for readability, ADA standards, and success metrics.
  • Tailor communications by channel and ensure appropriateness for targeted audiences.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing a degree and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Course work or interest in English, Journalism and Creative Writing.
  • Experience in copywriting, communications, editing, and proofreading; knowledge of AP Style.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and as a member of a team to achieve project goals.
  • General understanding of legal and compliance requirements for advertising.
  • Experience with word processing and editorial applications software.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
