About the role
- Manage vendors life cycle activities including selection, contract, performance and enforcement at the business unit level.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and contracts in support of business unit goals and strategies.
- Develop, monitor and enforce service level agreements (SLA’s) as well as terms and conditions of contracted vendor support.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, ensuring enterprise alignment.
- Employ vendor relationship management best practices to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.
- Provide line of sight to enterprise Procurement and Vendor Management (PVM), collaborating on contracts as required.
- Solve complex contract-related problems, consistent with established policies and procedures.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert and mentor to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Extensive experience in vendor management processes, procedures, and industry best practices
- Expert knowledge of contract terminology with a clear understanding of their inter-relationships
- Significant experience in establishing and enforcing vendor contracts and service level agreements
- Significant experience in developing, implementing, and managing a formalized process of selecting and monitoring vendor performance
- Extensive skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams
- Significant experience managing multiple moderate to high complex contracts
- Significant experience of contract development, monitoring and issue resolution
- Expert organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
- Advanced skill resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements
- Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
- Advanced in the use of PC’s and related software packages
- Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Desired Qualifications: Master’s Degree Business, Finance or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Working knowledge of respective business unit product portfolio
