About the role

  • Senior Security Engineer with a concentration on data loss prevention
  • Serve in a technical lead role, provide technical project management/oversight, and provide hands-on support at an SME level within areas of focus
  • Support DLP initiatives from the conceptual phase to operationalization
  • Support troubleshooting initiatives, root cause analysis, and solution maturation
  • Provide lead support and technical guidance
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team of cyber engineers supporting technologies within area of focus
  • Evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges
  • Present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance
  • Provide project support and status reporting
  • Establish and maintain system documentation
  • Represent changes via CAB meetings
  • Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment

Requirements

  • Strong team player, able to communicate and show leadership amongst teams of similarly knowledgeable specialists and Engineers
  • Experience guiding technical teams
  • Experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience in Security Engineering with a concentration on DLP
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience with System design, administration and security
  • Proficient and professional verbal and written communication, including group training
  • Practical understanding of machine learning and automation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum (7) years’ experience with DLP design, administration, and security
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Proofpoint, Palo Alto, and MS Purview DLP
  • Advanced knowledge of SEIM/SOAR technologies
  • Knowledge of Navy Federal Credit Union instructions, standards, and procedures
  • Active CISSP Certification
