About the role
- The Lead Systems Analyst will serve a critical role in supporting BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance initiatives by delivering end-to-end systems analysis, solution design, and technical leadership across multiple platforms.
Analyze and support existing compliance systems and lead efforts to transition to new ones.
Conduct system testing – including integration, data validation, and user acceptance support – to ensure technical solutions align with both regulatory and business requirements.
Strong technical expertise and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Design and document complex technical solutions to functional systems requirements including feasibility assessment, technical architecture, logical data models, system processes, testing procedures, and detailed functional specifications
Interact with customers to identify and document functional requirements including descriptions of business functions, input and output descriptions, procedural flows, data elements, performance criteria, and control requirements
Identify and assess business requirements and participate in enabling technical solutions that align with business needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition systems into production environments
Determine application modifications, additions, and/or configuration codes; test and document program modules
Develop and implement data verification methods and standard system procedures
Plan, coordinate, and organize coding, testing, documentation, and implementation of programs and upgrades according to project procedures for automated systems
Report application flexibility and scalability to management; provide information to leadership to assist in setting priorities
Provide technical advice and guidance to team members, stay on top of emerging technology trends
Lead, guide, and mentor junior team members
Participate in compliance and audit reviews as needed
Review and approve work of staff and ensure adherence to end user requirements and department standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Extensive experience with advanced knowledge of sophisticated programming languages and system technologies
Prior experience implementing and testing in-house and/or vendor-based BSA/AML and OFAC systems
Extensive experience conducting system testing, including integration testing, data validation, and user accepting support
Experience supporting transitions to new platforms and systems
Extensive experience with systems analysis and design techniques for complex system development
Demonstrated ability to apply structured programming, design, and analysis techniques
Significant experience coordinating end to end system delivery including planning, testing, implementation and post deployment support
Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and make sound decisions
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Advanced organizational, planning, analytical, and problem - solving skills
Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Effective database and presentation software skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations, systems, and organizational objectives
