About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create applications and data models for reporting needs using Qlikview, QlikSense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, and other product tools
Identify inter-departmental dependencies and downstream impacts of changes within reporting applications
Extract, transform, and load data from various data sources
Adapt to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools
Conduct ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability
Identify opportunities to streamline analytics processes and improve them
Serve as analytics point of contact for state audits, legislative inquiries, and escalated analysis matters
Lead and facilitate meetings with internal, external, and state stakeholders
Mentor teammates and business areas as a Subject Matter Expert
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS with focus on business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent combined education and experience preferred
At least five years of experience with BA/BS or three years with master's degree in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power B.I. or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is required
Knowledge with additional data analytic tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule
Remote work is unavailable to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming
