About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create applications and data models for reporting needs using Qlikview, QlikSense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, and other product tools
- Identify inter-departmental dependencies and downstream impacts of changes within reporting applications
- Extract, transform, and load data from various data sources
- Adapt to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools
- Conduct ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability
- Identify opportunities to streamline analytics processes and improve them
- Serve as analytics point of contact for state audits, legislative inquiries, and escalated analysis matters
- Lead and facilitate meetings with internal, external, and state stakeholders
- Mentor teammates and business areas as a Subject Matter Expert
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS with focus on business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent combined education and experience preferred
- At least five years of experience with BA/BS or three years with master's degree in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power B.I. or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is required
- Knowledge with additional data analytic tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule
- Remote work is unavailable to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming
