About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the day-to-day operations of a team of pharmacy technicians
- Schedule and monitor staff and day-to-day workflow
- Monitor productivity, performance standards, prescription turnaround time, and service guarantees
- Plan and direct workflow and project assignments
- Develop employee skills, evaluate performance, and provide feedback
- Oversee resolution of employee relations issues
- Conduct hiring, training, and staff evaluation
- Monitor employee compliance with quality, service, production, attendance, and employment standards
- Assist Pharmacist in Charge and Pharmacist Managers with cost monitoring
- Work in production as needed
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues
- Represent pharmacy operations and service in cross-functional meetings and projects
- Assist with inventory drug file setup and maintenance
- Address shipping exceptions and patient notification
- Organize pharmacy supply deliveries and maintain adequate stock
- Develop policies, procedures, and the team business work plan
- Recognize and recommend operational improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Tech certificate (CPhT) required
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
