About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- - Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues
- - Troubleshoot complex technical problems across systems, networking, cybersecurity, and vessel ICT environments
- - Act as the main technical point of contact for customers and manage technical expectations
- - Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure smooth communication
- - Evaluate customer feedback and support continuous service improvement
- - Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
- - Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective service execution
- - Conduct audits of systems, services, and inventory
- - Research new technologies and propose improvements
- - Supervise system updates, patches, and security controls
- - Manage planned and unplanned system activities
- - Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications
- - Coordinate project executions with SysAdmin team
- - Oversee data protection processes and ensure adherence to best practices
- - Follow ITIL-aligned practices for IT support operations
- - Track service metrics, audit tickets, and ensure SLA compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- - Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical or service delivery role
- - Advanced knowledge of Windows systems integration (domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, application servers, etc.) for a medium on-prem environment
- - Experience with peripherals like NAS, APs, printers, switches etc.
- - Strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity
- - Experience with IT service management and ITIL practices
- - Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- - Customer-oriented mindset
- **Great to have**
- - Master’s degree in a relevant field
- - Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco)
- - Security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP or equivalent)
- - ITIL, PRINCE2, or similar certifications
- - Familiarity with maritime ICT environments
