About the role
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including job postings, screening, interviews coordination, and onboarding.
- Administer payroll preparation, leave management, and employee benefits in compliance with Malaysian labour laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records in SQL payroll system and personnel files.
- Support HR documentation including offer letters, confirmation letters, disciplinary letters, and employment contracts.
- Coordinate training programs, internal workshops, and external learning initiatives.
- Monitor probation reviews and performance appraisal cycles.
- Identify training gaps and recommend appropriate development programs.
- Serve as a key contact point for employee inquiries and workplace matters.
- Handle basic disciplinary matters and grievance processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and culture.
- Organize staff activities, annual dinners, and engagement campaigns.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across departments.
- Monitor compliance with Malaysian Employment Act and related regulations.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and SOPs.
- Support audit preparation and labour-related documentation.
- Participate in HR-related projects and process optimisation initiatives.
- Support implementation of corporate HR standards and digitalisation efforts.
- Perform other HR-related tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HR systems.
- Hands-on experience in payroll calculations, including for industrial workers.
- Proven ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with professionalism.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with good problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and effective organizational and time management skills.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
