Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure and robust solutions
Work within a feature team engineering software, scripts, and tools that are often complex
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform
Produce complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
Work in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
Collaborate to optimise software engineering capability
Design, produce, test, and implement working code
Work across the life cycle from requirements analysis and design through coding to testing, deployment, and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 9 years of experience as a PySpark, AI Engineer specializing in Agentic AI and advanced capabilities
Experience with designing and building end-to-end AI and GenAI solutions using LLMs and agentic frameworks for autonomous task execution
Experience in developing intelligent agents with strong reasoning, planning, tool use, and seamless integration with enterprise APIs
Implementing, optimising and scaling RAG pipelines leveraging vector databases for accurate, context-aware outputs
Experience in fine tuning LLMs, applying advanced prompt engineering, and optimising models for domain-specific performance
Defining robust evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, latency, and reliability while minimizing hallucinations
Delivering secure, scalable, production-ready AI systems by applying modern DevOps, Responsible AI, and Agile engineering practices
Experience of working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis
Experience in multiple programming languages or low code toolsets
Experience of DevOps, Testing and Agile methodology and associated toolsets
A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems
Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance
