About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

work closely with feature and platform teams to design, build and operate cloud native platforms and delivery pipelines
mentor and coach teams to higher levels of DevOps maturity
design, build and operate AWS based platforms with a strong focus on Kubernetes
assess current DevOps and platform capabilities to identify gaps
support teams in closing gaps through hands on enablement, reusable patterns and targeted learning
implement and support GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo CD and GitLab
build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform
support Kubernetes networking, security and observability using tools such as Cilium and the Grafana suite
enable scalable, efficient and cost aware platforms, including autoscaling approaches such as Karpenter
contribute to DevOps centre-of-excellence standards, policies, tooling and reference architectures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
Experience implementing CI/CD and GitOps practices using tools such as GitLab and Argo CD
Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, security and observability, ideally including Cilium, Ingress and the Grafana ecosystem
Experience working with modern DevOps practices, including automation, reliability engineering and continuous improvement
The ability to coach, influence and enable teams, balancing engineering excellence with commercial awareness
Strong experience with AWS and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm
