About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • work closely with feature and platform teams to design, build and operate cloud native platforms and delivery pipelines
  • mentor and coach teams to higher levels of DevOps maturity
  • design, build and operate AWS based platforms with a strong focus on Kubernetes
  • assess current DevOps and platform capabilities to identify gaps
  • support teams in closing gaps through hands on enablement, reusable patterns and targeted learning
  • implement and support GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo CD and GitLab
  • build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform
  • support Kubernetes networking, security and observability using tools such as Cilium and the Grafana suite
  • enable scalable, efficient and cost aware platforms, including autoscaling approaches such as Karpenter
  • contribute to DevOps centre-of-excellence standards, policies, tooling and reference architectures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Experience implementing CI/CD and GitOps practices using tools such as GitLab and Argo CD
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, security and observability, ideally including Cilium, Ingress and the Grafana ecosystem
  • Experience working with modern DevOps practices, including automation, reliability engineering and continuous improvement
  • The ability to coach, influence and enable teams, balancing engineering excellence with commercial awareness
  • Strong experience with AWS and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm
