- Simplify the organisation by developing innovative data driven solutions
- Drive customer value by understanding complex business problems
- Support strategic direction by engaging with data engineering community
- Carry out complex data engineering tasks to build a scalable data architecture
- Build advanced automation of data engineering pipelines
- Embed new data techniques into business through role modelling, training, and experiment design oversight
- Deliver clear understanding of data platform costs
- Source new data using the most appropriate tooling
- Develop solutions for streaming data ingestion and transformations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of data usage and dependencies
- Experience extracting value and features from large scale data
- Practical experience of programming languages
- Knowledge of data and software engineering fundamentals
- Lead the design and delivery of real time data pipelines using Apache Kafka
- Experience architecting scalable distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark
- Good understanding of modern code development practices
- Experience designing and implementing NoSQL data models like MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Collaborate closely with platform, architecture, and product teams
