Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability
Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working software solutions
Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years of experience in the development and maintenance of KDB+/q applications, including both real‑time and historical data processing components
Ability to write and optimise q scripts and queries for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics, under the guidance of senior developers
Experience supporting the implementation of KDB architectures such as Tickerplant, RDB, and HDB, with a good understanding of partitioning strategies and sym management
Perform data validation and quality checks to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and performance issues
Collaborate closely with senior developers, production support, and DevOps teams to support deployments, testing, and production issue resolution
Maintain technical documentation, run books, and operational notes, and actively participate in code reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions
