About the role

  • Lead the Web Development team both technically and disciplinarily
  • Coach developers and foster technical knowledge within the team
  • Provide realistic estimates of development effort and strategically manage team capacity
  • Responsible for frontend development, UI/UX topics and technical SEO
  • Oversee backend development and ensure a clean technical architecture
  • Responsible for quality management across the entire development lifecycle
  • Work closely with C-level executives to align on roadmap and technical decisions

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in web development
  • At least 2 years of experience leading one or more developer teams, both technically and disciplinarily
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Shopify Liquid development
  • Deep understanding of frontend and backend development within Shopify environments
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce
  • Understanding of technical architecture, APIs, tracking systems, cloud solutions and data flows
  • Solid experience with version control, QA processes and deployment workflows
  • Knowledge of UX design, technical SEO and conversion optimization is desirable
  • Experience in stakeholder management within fast-scaling organizations is an advantage
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, headless architectures, app development or modern testing frameworks is a plus
