About the role

  • You are responsible for end-to-end strategic procurement — from market and demand analysis through supplier and risk management to contracting, cost and innovation strategies.
  • You ensure long-term supply security, optimize costs and value creation, and, together with internal and external partners, drive sustainable competitive advantages.
  • You analyze requirements and procurement markets, monitor supplier structures, market trends and price developments, and identify opportunities and risks.
  • You identify, evaluate and select suppliers, build strategic partnerships and continuously develop existing suppliers.
  • You develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies (e.g., single or multiple sourcing) to ensure long-term supply.
  • You lead complex contract and price negotiations, develop pricing and terms models, and conclude framework and long-term agreements.
  • You analyze cost and value drivers and derive measures for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • You identify supply risks, develop prevention measures and prepare contingency and fallback plans.
  • You work closely with suppliers on innovation and technology projects and actively involve them in development initiatives.
  • You coordinate collaboration with internal stakeholders such as R&D, quality management and logistics and support cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • Ideally, you bring at least 2–3 years of professional experience in international procurement.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • You are quick to grasp complex topics and are characterized by an analytical, structured approach as well as conceptual and strategic thinking.
  • You have a hands-on mentality.
  • Business-fluent German and English (negotiation-level).
  • A high degree of initiative, a sense of responsibility, attention to detail and reliability distinguish you.
  • You are proactive and eager to move things forward together with the team.
Benefits
  • 30 paid vacation days — which you can take in coordination with your manager whenever it suits you.
  • Additional company-wide holidays.
  • Flexible working hours with no fixed core hours.
  • Hybrid working with up to 100% remote work.
  • Regular meetups in our modern offices in Hamburg and Düsseldorf.
  • Work with top equipment (MacOS or Windows) — plus extensive mobile work equipment.
  • Training courses, conferences or books — we support your professional development.
  • Modern offices in the heart of Düsseldorf & Hamburg with excellent public transport connections and convenient local infrastructure.
  • A fully equipped kitchen and, in Düsseldorf, also a massage chair and a private gym — all free for you.
  • And many other additional benefits (Corporate Benefits, Urban Sports, company pension scheme, etc.).
  • Casual dress: we have no dress code.
