About the role
- Execute recruitment efforts for all National University System
- Partner with hiring managers and Human Resource Partners to outline the needs of the hiring manager and the requirements and expectations of the position
- Assist with the calculation of staffing metrics
- Source and recruit candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting high-quality candidates for the position
- Seek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates by posting open positions to appropriate Internet sources and job boards
- Attend career job fairs for meeting recruitment needs and enhancing University recognition
- Coordinate the interview process, including pre-screening of resumes, sending application packets, arranging interviews, and facilitating skills testing, as needed
- Perform reference and background checks for potential employees
- Follow up with selected candidates by sending offer letters and new hire packets
- Completes necessary new hire paperwork for personnel files
- Maintain ATS, databases and spreadsheets of recruitment activities
- Maintain relationships with temporary agencies to fill temporary employment needs
- Assist with the creation of job descriptions
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the industry through attendance of educational seminars, networking, and industry events
- Assist with other functions as directed by the Director, Talent Acquisition
- Reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill the requirements of the position

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field, required
- Three (3) years’ experience in a talent acquisition using LinkedIn Recruiter Platform, ATS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in higher education environment, preferred
- Professional Human Resources or Recruiter certification, a plus
- Ability to participate as an active team member of the Business Unit, Department and University to work toward a common goal

- Working knowledge of recruiting principles, practices and processes including but not limited to job boards and Boolean searches
- Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws related to recruiting, employment and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations
- Solid ability in being resourceful in sourcing skills and investigating new avenues for finding qualified talent
- Highly developed resume screening and interviewing skills
- Ability to support a collaborative work environment to ensure the best results for the team and company
- Ability to reach out and ask for help or seek expertise of others when necessary
- Solid working knowledge to drive towards achieving measurable and challenging goals to support organizational success
- Demonstrated ability to focus on achieving results consistent with the organization’s objectives
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software related to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment systems
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, independent thinker, planning and organizational skills and follow through with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities
- Good follow-up and follow-through to ensure deliverables
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including translating technical language to a non-technical nature
- Work independently with flexibility while fostering a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities
