About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • serve as the lead for the organizations learning strategy, programs, and experience
  • responsible for the full lifecycle of learning initiatives including needs assessment, program design, development, delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise wide learning programs
  • provides consulting to teams to help them shape department-specific learning programs in a way that aligns to identified needs and priorities
  • partners closely with HR, People Experience & Solutions, managers, and key stakeholders to align learning programs with organizational goals, initiatives, and priorities
  • continuously reviews, measures, and assesses the effectiveness of existing learning programs to ensure they meet business needs and provide a meaningful and engaging learner experience
  • applies industry best practices and instructional design methodologies to create high quality learning experiences and related resources
  • manages the organizations skills inventory and creating actionable development plans and resources to address skill gaps, build capability, and improve overall staff performance
  • facilitates and moderates instructor led learning sessions
  • leverages meaningful data, metrics, and learner feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and shape future offerings
  • owns the companys compliance training program and ensures compliance with all required organizational and regulatory training
  • creates a consistent, efficient, and positive experience for employees participating in annual and recurring training assignments
  • serves as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning experience platforms
  • leads all LMS related initiatives, including setup, configuration, administration, and the implementation of new learning solutions or courses
  • proactively identifies opportunities to optimize system capabilities, integrate the LMS with other platforms, and enhance how the organization leverages technology to support learning and development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree In Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, or any other related field
  • A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered
  • 6 years of progressively responsible human resources experience with a primary focus on learning and development, organization development, and learning experience management
  • Advanced proficiency and demonstrated experience administering Learning Management Systems (preferably Docebo Learn)
  • Learning Experience Platforms (preferably LinkedIn Learning and Viva Learning)
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning experience design
  • Strong visual and instructional design skills with hands on experience using e learning authoring tools, screen recording and video editing software, and virtual facilitation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Proven experience designing, developing, delivering, administering, and managing comprehensive learning programs that align with business needs and support diverse audiences
  • Experience working with skills frameworks, conducting skills gap analyses, and performing learning needs assessments to inform program design and workforce development initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize learning data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and make data driven recommendations
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, operate with autonomy, and provide leadership within areas of expertise
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and active listening skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and associated collaboration tools
  • demonstrated ability to manage relationships with external learning vendors or content providers
  • must live within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA
  • must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
