About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Teach adult- and teen-focused classroom courses about the importance of safe driving
Teach life-saving Driver Safety Course curriculum to motorists, including individuals required by a state or court to attend mandatory driver retraining
Conduct classes on weekends, weekdays, and evenings
Deliver four to eight hours of instruction depending on the curriculum
Support the National Safety Council's mission to save lives through driver safety education

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in public speaking
Ability to lead effective classroom discussions
Ability to handle a diverse group of students
Background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education
Personal email address required for e-communication with the Instructor Portal and DDC Information Highway
Ability to handle equipment failures, facility issues, individuals with learning or behavioral difficulties, and class disruptions
Weekend availability preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must not require employment visa sponsorship
