About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage research for 4–6 client accounts and ensure timely delivery of project work
- Collaborate with team members to develop research methodologies and approaches
- Lead associates and interns supporting the client research process
- Develop nuanced analysis of how societal issues may impact corporations, workforces, and consumers
- Synthesize findings into strategic client recommendations
- Draft PowerPoint presentations, memos, and other client deliverables
- Present findings and interact with clients to understand their needs
- Serve as a trusted expert and advisor on challenging societal issues
- Consume news about societal issues and their impact on the business community
- Contribute to product development, operational optimization, and improvements to the research product
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong familiarity with contentious societal issues
- Solid understanding of the media and political environment
- Excellent qualitative research and analysis skills
- Ability to execute against tight deadlines and develop professional, intellectually sound client deliverables
- Highly analytic and a natural problem solver
- Ability to identify key insights in complex data and synthesize large amounts of information
- Ability to clearly explain insights to clients
- Skilled project manager able to manage competing priorities and timelines independently
- Strong writing skills for varied audiences
- Some experience with PowerPoint or other visual presentation formats highly preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in strategy consulting, policy analysis, risk analysis, Capitol Hill or executive agency experience, or political science research
- Earned bachelor's degree required
- Track record of building new initiatives from conception to execution
- Creative thinking and resourcefulness in problem-solving
- Prodigious work ethic and spirit of generosity
