About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure day-to-day execution of the Photo Camp program
  • Responsible for production and logistics coordination for Photo Camps worldwide
  • Supports the implementation of the program’s strategy by managing event and travel planning, budgets, contracts, logistics related to the program’s operations
  • Provide on-the-ground logistics support and event production during selected National Geographic Photo Camps
  • Serve as the NGS contact between the students, community liaisons, and partners for each Photo Camp.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, communications, or related field
  • With education and experience in the areas of event production or logistics management
  • 5+ years working in a production or logistics environment
  • Proven track record of coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience designing presentations, working with photographic and video assets, and coordinating multifaceted activities is a plus
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience keeping track of multiple projects, details and timelines
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills; collaborative team player
  • Driven by curiosity, strong ability to problem-solve with high critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and inquisitive
  • High degree of proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Airtable, and Keynote applications
  • Strong event production and organizational skills
