About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Application administration & support: Monitoring and managing the performance of our core applications (IVU, Inline, WCA, Leidis, Lagebericht)
Ensuring smooth operation of the systems
Performing regular maintenance, updates, patches and upgrades
Troubleshooting and remediation, and providing technical support to end users
Documenting system architectures
Training users on application usage and the rollout of new features
Security & performance management: Implementing security policies to protect sensitive data
Monitoring for security incidents and vulnerabilities
Analyzing system performance and identifying optimization opportunities
System integration & requirements management: Ensuring seamless integration with other systems across the company
Gathering and analyzing user requirements
Contributing to strategic planning and evaluation of new technologies
2nd-level support & service management: Assisting in incident management and proactively managing incidents
Supporting releases, testing and operational assurance of applications
Negotiation and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Secondary school diploma (Fachhochschulreife) or Abitur, qualification level 5 (German/European Qualifications Framework - DQR/EQF)
At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable IT field
Medical and psychological fitness (stress management, emotional stability)
Basic knowledge of programming and API/interface development
Experience with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL skills
Understanding of network infrastructures (TCP/IP, routing, switching), firewalls, VPNs and security technologies
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS)
Basic knowledge of software development processes (Agile/Scrum) as well as ticketing systems and remote support
Knowledge of Kubernetes and the applications IVU, Inline, WCA & Leidis or similar planning systems
Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and process modeling
Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Team player with willingness to pursue further training and flexibility for shift work
