About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Property Manager in the efficient operation of senior affordable housing communities
  • Manage daily administrative tasks and assist residents
  • Assist with day-to-day property operations
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests
  • Assist in leasing activities, including showing units, processing applications, and conducting background checks
  • Help manage rent collections, enforce lease terms, and address delinquencies
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, financial transactions, and property maintenance
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to complete work orders promptly
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 regulations and guidelines
  • Prepare reports on occupancy, financial status, and other relevant metrics
  • Support budget preparation and financial planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in property management, preferably in affordable housing
  • Must have affordable housing HUD/LIHTC experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local housing regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 preferred
  • Ability to work part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm, with no weekends
