About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and oversee customized asset management strategies for multi-family LIHTC and HUD communities
  • Maximize total return for each assigned asset through analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance
  • Work closely with property managers and Regional Managers to provide direction for oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals
  • Conduct market studies of competing properties to determine market competitive rents
  • Manage cash flow, distribution analysis and investment projections
  • Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports to senior management, investors, consultants and other partners
  • Position each asset for optimal financial performance through budgeting and monitoring financial performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field with strong record of academic achievement
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • Experience in property management/leasing/operations and/or real estate asset management
  • Proficiency with modeling investments in Excel
  • Understanding of Partnership Agreements and Low Income Housing Tax Credits
  • Understanding of accounting and financial modeling
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills
  • Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach.
