About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit people in their homes to carry out vital research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport
- Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture real experiences of daily life in Britain
- Conduct fieldwork in the local community, including knocking on doors
- Manage situations where residents do not answer or decline to participate
- Complete the application, video interview, final interview and background-check process before starting work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car
- Class 1 Business insurance
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete a DBS check
- Reliable home broadband
- Laptop or tablet with camera
- Comfortable using basic technology
- At least 18 hours available per week
- Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Strong verbal and written English
- Good at talking to people
- Friendly and professional
- Resilient and confident
- Self-motivated and independent
- Good time management and prioritising skills
- Reliable and willing to help others
- Research experience is not required; experience in retail, hospitality, admin, driving, sales or customer-facing roles is suitable
Benefits
Comp & perks- £20-£30 per interview (typically)
- Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%)
- Travel time at £4.68/hour (most projects) for travel to the area being worked in
- Mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles)
- £250 bonus after launch, then £250 more at two months and four months
- Average hourly rate of £15.12 including holiday pay
