About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Visit people in their homes to conduct research interviews on topics including health, housing and transport
Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture people’s daily-life experiences
Conduct door-to-door fieldwork in the local community
Manage situations where residents do not answer or decline to participate
Complete the application, video interview, final interview with role play, offer, background checks and onboarding process

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car
Class 1 Business insurance
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to complete a DBS check
Reliable home broadband
Laptop or tablet with camera
Comfortable using basic technology
At least 18 hours available per week
Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends
Strong verbal and written English
Good interpersonal skills and ability to talk to people
Friendly and professional manner
Resilient and confident
Self-motivated and independent
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Research experience is not required

Travel time paid at £4.68/hour for travel to the working area on most projects
Mileage paid at 36p per mile, up to 10,000 miles
£250 bonus after launch, plus £250 more at two months and four months
