About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Visit people in their homes to carry out research interviews
Conduct interviews on topics including health, housing and transport
Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture people's experiences
Work in the local community by visiting addresses and knocking on doors
Help produce research that informs improvements to people's lives
Complete the application, video interview, final role-play interview, offer and background-check process

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car
Class 1 Business insurance
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to complete a DBS check
Reliable home broadband
Laptop or tablet with camera
Comfortable using basic technology
At least 18 hours available per week
Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends
Strong verbal and written English
Good at talking to people
Friendly and professional
Resilient and confident
Self-motivated and independent
Good time management and prioritising skills
Retail, hospitality, admin, driving, sales or other customer-facing experience is suitable; research experience is not required
Must complete a one-way video interview, final interview including a short role play, and background checks

Travel time at £4.68/hour (most projects)
Mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles)
£250 bonus after launch, then £250 more at two months and four months
