About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit people in their homes to carry out research interviews on topics including health, housing and transport
- Use a tablet or laptop to guide conversations and capture people’s experiences
- Work in the local community, including door-to-door visits
- Conduct interviews with people who may not be expecting the visit
- Complete administrative and background-check processes before starting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car
- Class 1 Business insurance
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete a DBS check
- Reliable home broadband
- Laptop or tablet with camera
- Comfortable using basic technology
- At least 18 hours available per week
- Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Strong verbal and written English
- Good at talking to people
- Friendly and professional
- Resilient and confident
- Self-motivated and independent
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Research experience is not required
- Experience in retail, hospitality, administration, driving, sales or customer-facing work is suitable
Benefits
Comp & perks- £20–£30 per interview (typically)
- Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%)
- Travel time paid at £4.68/hour for most projects
- Mileage paid at 36p per mile, up to 10,000 miles
- £250 bonus after launch, plus £250 more at two months and four months
- Average hourly rate of £15.12 including holiday pay
