About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improve day to day processes: map current ways of working, spot inefficiencies and help redesign workflows so they are simpler, clearer and easier to follow
- Build practical solutions: create and support workflows and automations using Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and Teams
- Turn problems into improvements: carry out root cause analysis, document findings clearly and help translate issues into realistic, useful changes
- Support delivery across teams: work with colleagues across the organisation to improve handovers, reduce duplication and make processes more joined up
- Help reduce manual effort: identify repetitive tasks and opportunities for automation that save time and improve quality
- Track what works: support the team to measure improvements, monitor progress and show where changes are making a real difference
- Work closely with stakeholders: gather requirements, understand pain points and help shape solutions that work in practice
- Contribute to continuous improvement: support a culture of better ways of working and help teams identify where processes can be improved
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience improving business processes, workflows or operational ways of working in a complex environment
- Hands on experience with Microsoft 365 tools, ideally Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and Teams
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand issues and turn them into practical solutions
- Comfortable speaking with stakeholders and gathering requirements from people at different levels of the organisation
- Well organised, with the ability to manage several pieces of work at once and deliver to deadlines
- Interested in both process improvement and digital tools, with a practical approach to making work easier and more efficient
- Experience in a research, operations or data led environment would be useful, but is not essential
- Lean, Kaizen or Six Sigma experience would be helpful, but is not required
