About the role

- Verifies test requisitions and patient identification.
- Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques and following procedures.
- Tracks collected specimens and maintains quality results.
- Resolves unusual test orders by contacting relevant personnel.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
- Enhances department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new requests.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
- BS/BA degree (preferred).
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
